Analysis
The Bartlett Police Department's mission is to provide the utmost safety for our citizens by incorporating a multi-dimensional approach to address the issues that affect our community. For the previous seven years, from 2018 – 2024, the City of Bartlett’s Property Crime Index has been lower than the State of Tennessee’s and the United States average indexes.
Although the mid-south community has observed an increase in Motor Vehicle Thefts and Thefts from Motor Vehicles, our department has remained committed to addressing such issues and developing innovative ways to combat this criminal activity. This commitment is shown through high visibility, proactive patrols, vigorous investigations, targeted enforcement measures, and an emphasis on community education and collaboration. As a result, the City of Bartlett's 2025 Property Crime Index was 41% lower than similar-sized cities nationally and dropped more than 7.6% compared to the previous year.
