Definition
The City of Bartlett is committed to modernizing its justice system by digitizing all qualifying court cases by 2028. With records dating back to 1978, this initiative ensures the Court Clerk’s Office is prepared to meet the justice system’s growing demands. Court digitization provides practical benefits, including improved data management, accessibility, visibility, and control. This process is critical to improving efficiency within the Bartlett City Court system.
Analysis
The Court Clerk’s Office, following recommendations from the Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS), has developed an internal digitization process. All new cases are now being digitized, and cases originating in 2022 and 2023 have been electronically scanned.
In addition, the Court Clerk’s Office has partnered with Neumo to digitize all archived files. This final initiative is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026, meaning the City will exceed its original 2028 target by more than two years.
